(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) MP for the bloc of change Hoshyar Abdullah, the federal government and the Ministry of the Interior to form a committee to determine the official border point at the border [Kili} border between Kurdistan and Iran.
Abdullah said in a statement received by the agency {Euphrates News} a copy of it that "the port of {Kelly} border between us and Iran has not been officially opened so far, and there are serious efforts by the Iraqi and Iranian governments to officially open and adopted as a border port for the entry and exit of passengers and goods."
"There is no agreement so far between the two sides to set an agreed border point between local officials at this crossing, and the Iranian side chose an uncontested point, and this situation requires us to resolve this problem."
"We visited the border crossing yesterday and found people very enthusiastic about opening it officially as soon as possible by the federal government because of its importance to both parties and its economic, commercial and social benefits," Abdullah said.
Abdullah stressed on "the need for the Ministry of the Interior to form a specialized committee to determine the official border point of Iraq and the completion of all the legal implications of this port as soon as possible with a view to opening it officially."
