    [rtl]The Federal Court on Tuesday filed a lawsuit demanding that the House of Representatives add the condition of renunciation of foreign nationality within the conditions of membership, indicating that this goes beyond the jurisdiction of the Court.[/rtl]


    [rtl]"The Federal Supreme Court has considered a lawsuit to require the defendant (the Speaker of the House of Representatives, in addition to his job) to add the condition of abandoning the nationality acquired to the Iraqi who acquired another nationality," said Ayas al-Samuk, a spokesman for Al-Ittihad Press. (Eighth) of the law of elections to the House of Representatives as one of the conditions of membership of the House of Representatives"He said.[/rtl]


    [rtl]Al-Samok added that "the court found that the subject of the request is stipulated in Article 18 (IV) of the Constitution and requires the enactment of a law to regulate the implementation of the said text, but the Federal Court to oblige the Council of Representatives to issue the law or add the said condition out of the jurisdiction stipulated in Law No. 30 ) Of 2005, and in Article (93) of the Constitution"He said.[/rtl]


    [rtl]The parliament decided earlier to postpone the vote on the law on the abandonment of acquired nationality, while a parliamentary source pointed out that parliament speaker Salim al-Jubouri decided to form and chair a joint committee to resolve differences on the law.[/rtl]
