    The Iraqi government yesterday urged the rich world countries and major companies to invest in Iraq and enter its market and take advantage of the investment opportunities it offers, including the vital oil and gas sector, stressing that it guarantees all investments, while the United States confirmed its determination to continue the war against Daash and work to restore stability in Iraq and the return of all displaced persons to their areas.
    Planning Minister Salman Jumaili said in his speech on the second day of the Iraqi reconstruction conference held in Kuwait that the Iraqi government has started laws that provide guarantees for investment and facilitate investment procedures. He said that engaging in the process of reconstruction through entering Iraqi investments represents a message of love, peace and stability. 
    For his part, called for oil minister Jabbar al-Allaibi to invest in the gas sector, pointing out that the current gas reserve in Iraq is 135 billion cubic feet, and said in the session of the main investment sectors in Iraq within the program ((Invest in Iraq)) that investment in this area will put Iraq ranks among the developed countries in the production of gas, adding that Iraq is the fourth in the world in terms of oil reserves.
    He explained that his ministry has huge plans for the development of the oil sector, including oil refineries, the establishment and development of oil reservoirs, oil pipelines and all related to the oil field due to its importance and vitality and its contribution to the reconstruction of Iraq. He pointed to the existence of 73 oil fields discovered 30 percent of which is under development. 
    The Minister of Oil stressed the existence of large and large investment opportunities in Iraq because of its large resources in terms of natural and human resources.
    "The energy sector, especially electricity, is the first investment opportunity in Iraq because the Iraqi government is encouraged to invest in this sector," said World Investment Bank (IFC) Investment Officer, Zainan Shaikh, adding that the electricity needs are estimated at 20,000 megawatts And may reach 40 thousand megawatts as the wheel of reconstruction begins in Iraq. He added that the transfer of gas to TAQA is an important project in Iraq, pointing out that the Iraqi government started using gas resources in the generation of energy is an important point, and stressed the need to attract private sector investment to the energy sectors.
    And the "Invest in Iraq" program organized by the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq, and discussed several topics, including the investment environment in Iraq and the program of reform and reconstruction, as well as reviewing the opportunities of the private sector through the presentation of successful investment experiences and opportunities The head of investment in Iraq and the role of the International Finance Corporation in this regard. The conference also discussed the forms of domestic and foreign financing, public-private partnership and IFC's Iraq financing projects as well as investment guarantees. 
    In this regard, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq Ali al-Alaq in a discussion session entitled (Financing reconstruction) overview of the framework of the Iraqi economy, especially on the banking sector and ways to support the private sector to achieve a flexible peace.
    The conference was devoted to a panel discussion entitled "One-Stop: Supporting Investors in Iraq", attended by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. 
    In his opening remarks on Monday, Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Ali Al Ghanim affirmed that the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq is the beginning of the security and development phase in the region. 
    Al-Ghanim considered the conference an investment event which includes about 1500 companies from 50 countries. He said that the companies were optimistic and eager to participate in this economic, political and humanitarian opportunity at the same time. He stressed that the State of Kuwait does not consider the conference as a global development mobilization but also sees it as an Iraqi and regional declaration. With the end of the stage of instability and the beginning of the stage of security and development in the region as a whole. "
    In parallel with the reconstruction conference held yesterday also the ministerial meeting of the International Alliance against Dahesh with a broad international participation was the presence of 74 members of the States and international organizations supporting the alliance. 
    The meeting was organized within the framework of the Kuwait International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq as part of the ongoing international efforts and joint coordination in the field of combating terrorism and follow-up of the strategy drawn up by the coalition to fight the organization. The alliance includes a supporter of 68 countries and many specialized international organizations. 
    Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah stressed on Tuesday the need to create new horizons and co-ordinate the International Alliance against the establishment of a strategy to combat terrorist organization.
    In his speech, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced that his country had provided 200 million US dollars to support the efforts of the international coalition against Damascus in Syria. He said that the international coalition succeeded in liberating 98% of the Iraqi and Syrian territories.
