    The Director of the Department of Immigration and Passports Syrian Major General 
    Naji Al-Nimer, Thursday, readiness of the border crossing between Iraq and Syria to work, pointing to Damascus pending the approval of the Iraqi side to activate the work center.
    Al-Nimeer said in remarks reported by the Syrian media and briefed by the "Economy News" that "the border crossing of Albuqmal ready to work after it was rehabilitated and provided with all the requirements."
    "We are waiting for the Iraqi side to activate the work in this center," he said.
    Interior Minister Qassem al-Araji announced on Monday that Prime Minister-General Haidar al-Abadi agreed to open the border port with Syria. http://economy-news.net/content.php?id=11147
