Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed on Thursday with the members of the Electoral Commission the electoral procedures in the liberated areas.
"The Prime Minister chaired today a meeting with the members of the Independent High Electoral Commission in the presence of a number of ministers to check on the safety of the procedures adopted by the Electoral Commission and the distribution of voter cards in the provinces of Nineveh and Salah Religion and Anbar ".
Abadi stressed the importance of ensuring the success of the pre-election process, whether in the registration process or in the distribution of cards to the voters, confirming the eligibility of every citizen to receive his electoral card before the elections.
"The integrity and transparency of elections is a key issue that needs to be addressed at all stages of the work," he said.
"The Ministry of Education will take the necessary measures to cooperate with the Council of the Commission to ensure the success of the work in the liberated areas and open more distribution offices to facilitate the access of citizens within their areas of residence and through the school buildings with the completion of sufficient numbers of educational and teaching staff, For the required support from ministries and other bodies to secure appropriate administrative and technical working conditions. "
