    The Minister of Planning Dr. Salman Al-Jumaili discussed with the representative of the UN Secretary-General in Iraq, Jan Kubic, the activation of the international commitments received by Iraq from the Kuwait Conference. 
    The two sides discussed a number of important issues related to the Iraqi issue, especially the results of the Kuwait conference and what are the subsequent steps of the Iraqi government in activating the international commitments, as well as the role of the international organization, said a press release issued by the media office in the Ministry of Planning. In support of Iraq's efforts in the reconstruction and development of Iraq.
    Al-Jumaili stressed that "the international commitments received by Iraq at the Kuwait Conference represent an important achievement, the government is currently translating it into practical steps through the formation of a national team to follow up the international commitments as well as the formation of technical teams in the Ministry of Planning and related parties to work on a road map To invest the international promises given to Iraq. " 
    He pointed out that the presence of grants and loans and credit facilities and support for investment, and Iraq will interact with each of these offers in proportion to the Iraqi situation with emphasis on speed and credibility in the implementation of those promises, stressing that the most important part in the translation of these commitments is linked to the level of executive and political performance of the Iraqi government And thus provide reassuring messages to donor countries that the money will go on track.
    Al-Jumaili added that the ministry has set up an electronic platform to monitor and follow up the implementation of projects financed by loans, grants and international investments. Donor countries can benefit from this platform to follow up the projects as well, pointing out that the ministry has developed a clear roadmap for the priorities needed by the liberated areas and the rest of Iraq. And is keen to confirm the promises of an official and turn them into real commitments between Iraq and donor countries, and we have a great willingness to deal with the outcome of the Kuwait Conference in an effective positive. 
    He pointed out that "the policy of the government is based on openness and building a network of mutual interests with all countries, especially neighboring countries," noting that this policy has begun to achieve good results represent the great convergence between Iraq and Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries.
    For his part, the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jan Kubic expressed the appreciation of the International Organization for the efforts of the Iraqi government in the preparation of the Great Kuwait Conference, which was a clear vision and an integrated plan that prompted the international community to interact significantly with the government's directions for reconstruction and investment in all of Iraq, The Kuwait Conference is the first of its kind in the amount and volume of support provided by the international community. The previous conferences have not witnessed and supported this level, and this is all due to the efforts of the Iraqi government and its integrated plan presented during the conference. 
    "The United Nations is ready to provide all its support to Iraq, both at the developmental and political levels," Kubic said, revealing that the World Bank Vice President will visit Baghdad soon to discuss ways to benefit from international support for Iraq.
