World oil prices fell on Monday as markets opened cautiously after the US-led air strikes in Syria over the weekend, as well as the continued rise of US oil rigs last week.
    US crude futures were trading at $ 66.76 a barrel, after hitting a high of $ 67.68 a barrel, while opening today's session at $ 67.33 a barrel, which hit a low of $ 60.62 a barrel.
Traders said markets in Asia had started cautiously after the weekend strikes, while oil markets were under pressure from rising oil exploration activity in the United States.
US energy companies added seven new oil drilling rigs during the week to April 13, bringing the total to 815 diggers, the highest since March 2015, Baker Hughes Energy Services said on Friday.
