Tehran: We continue to be in Syria and aim to make the region free of aggression

Iran's presence in Syria is continuing, saying that Tehran's policy is aimed at achieving stability and making the region free from what he called "tension and aggression" and help develop the countries of the region.
Shamkhani said that "the Iranian presence in Syria continues as long as terrorism threatens security in Syria and as long as the Syrian government requests it," adding that "this Iranian strategy as fixed does not know change and does not concern Syria, but rather to defend Palestine, "He said.
Shamkhani added that "Iran's policy aims to achieve stability and make the region free of tension and aggression and contribute to the establishment of peace and stability and security and help the development of the countries of the region and prosperity."
"The Iranians have been guests of the Syrian government and this government feels responsibility for them as military advisers as much as they are sensitive to the attack on their country by the terrorists and their supporters," said the secretary-general of the Supreme National Security Council.
