Iranian Defense Minister Hossein Dehqan warned that any hostile move against Syria would exacerbate the crisis and expand the scope of the war, stressing the need to respect the territorial integrity of Syria by all countries.
During a meeting with Syrian Chief of Staff General Ali Abdullah Ayoub in Tehran, Dahqan affirmed that the Iranian people will always remain with the Syrian people and will not refrain from any effort and support to establish peace and stability and to confront terrorist practices.
"Any hostile move against Syria will exacerbate the crisis, expand the scope of the war, bloodshed and the continuation of violence in the region," Dahlan was quoted by Fars news agency as saying.
The Iranian minister also condemned the American strike on Syria's air infrastructure, saying that Washington "by weakening the resistance front against terrorism and in restoring and strengthening the morale of terrorists" seeks to secure Israel's legitimacy and its "aggressive practices in the region."
On the Syrian chief of staff, the agency "Fares" pledged that the Syrian army will continue its war against terrorists until the liberation of the entire Syrian territory, and Abdullah Ayoub at the same time that the solution of the Syrian crisis is the Syrian-Syrian dialogue.
