    There was a state of fear and panic in the ranks of the Popular Popular Terrorist Militia following reports that US forces were moving to hold the border with Syria and set up a military base near Sinjar in northwestern Iraq.


    The leadership of the militia did not hide their fear that US forces would soon begin to pressure their factions there and drive them out of the area.

    Ninewa operations commander Major General Najem al-Jubouri denied reports that a US military base had been established in Sinjar. Considering that the information mentioned in this regard is unreliable and what is stated naked about health.


    Al-Jubouri commented on the measures being taken by the Iraqi security authorities with the participation of the US to secure the border strip with Syria west of Mosul. Stressing that «the Iraqi forces with the assistance of US military advisers to move to protect the border from the possibility of the flow of (Da'ash) across the border to Iraq».


    "US advisers are in Mosul, Qayara and other parts of Ninewa routinely, and they have told us that precautionary measures should be taken at the border," he said, ruling out "the involvement of a US military force with Iraqi forces in securing the border, which does not exceed the limits of military advice."


    He refused to give information on the reasons behind the military actions on the border with Syria in this period.
