The capital Baghdad will host the "golden opportunity" for reconstruction in December, with the participation of dozens of personalities, investment companies and diplomatic missions in Iraq.
"The conference to be held in Baghdad on December 5-6 under the slogan of [Iraq leap forward] will open the way for presenting large reconstruction opportunities to investment companies," said Mustafa al-Hiti, head of the reconstruction fund for the areas affected by terrorist operations. All ministries and government companies, local and foreign to participate actively in this demonstration and the presentation of its operational potential in the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the provinces plagued by terrorism. "
He added that the fund has been working on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of hundreds of water and sanitation projects and the processing of generators and mechanisms specialized in water and sewage projects, water and electricity networks, rehabilitation and construction of damaged schools, police stations, government buildings, bridges, roads and dams.
"In Nineveh, the projects actually completed 24 projects and there are 22 other projects exceeding 85 percent completion rate in all sectors. There are 43 new projects to be announced soon. And 13 projects have been developed within the 2018 plan. 12 projects have been completed in Diyala and eight projects are under way and 16 projects will be announced this year. "
"In Kirkuk, the number of projects completed 14 projects in addition to 20 other projects will be announced during the next phase, and in Anbar completed 136 small and medium projects and there are still 129 projects under implementation in addition to 36 projects in this year's plan, and completed 11 projects in areas Baghdad belt and work continues in 8 other projects were added 13 projects to 2018, and in northern Babylon completed 19 projects and there are 8 projects under implementation in addition to 9 projects within the plan in 2018.
"These projects were distributed among the sectors of health, education, higher education, police stations, municipalities, roads and bridges."
