The former parliamentarian for the province of Mosul, Abdul Rahman al-Lweizi said on Wednesday that the withdrawal of the popular mobilization factions from the liberated areas is part of a political agreement before the formation of the largest bloc and the government.
The winning political blocs in the elections of the three components of the Shiite, the Sunni Kurds to form the next government after the Federal Supreme Court ratified the results of the legislative elections held in May.
"Perhaps it is part of the process and the political parties are trying to prove their credibility and commitment within any political agreement that is being developed," Loewzi told Ashqaf News.
He did not rule out the move to "reassure or prove good faith to the other party and serious commitments."
The People's Assembly has issued a decision on August 18 to remove the headquarters and close all the offices belonging to the factions from within all cities, especially freed from the grip of the organization.
