(Reuters) - Shi'ite cleric Jawad al-Khalisi said on Monday he was working to end the current political process in Iraq and abolish his permanent constitution, which he described as "divisive."
"Our struggle is aimed at abolishing Bremer's constitution, the political process that it adopts, and the struggle for the Islamic identity of Iraq," said Khalisi, who identifies himself as the coordinator of the National Congress for the Salvation of Iraq in a speech at a meeting in Halba, The liberation of Iraq, the independence of its political and sovereign decision, the consolidation of its national unity, the reform of corruption and the removal of the corrupt from power. "
"The boycott of the recent legislative elections is very high," he said.
