    Department of Prevention in the Integrity Commission on Sunday recommended that the Ministry of Industry and Minerals obtain the fundamental approvals from the concerned authorities on the proposals of investment projects, in a manner not inconsistent with the basic design of the city of Baghdad and the provinces. 

    The department said in a report on the visit of its team to the Ministry of Industry and the Office of the Inspector-General of the Ministry to verify the accuracy of the information contained in the news of one of the news agencies and monitored by the Integrity Commission's Media Center on the sale of the headquarters of the State Company for Leather Industries One of the investors, to build a commercial mall and the ministry's intention to move the company's employees to the outskirts of Baghdad, "the Ministry and the Office of the Inspector-General to study the subject and take appropriate action on it."
    And stressed the "need to be done through the Investment Department in the Ministry; for the purpose of determining the controls to grant approvals for investment projects proposed by its subsidiaries in coordination with the National Investment Commission," noting that "the Board of Directors of the State Company for Leather Industries late last year, To obtain the fundamental approvals of his decision to announce all the company's land with distinctive locations in Baghdad and the provinces to invest to maximize the company's resources. " 

    He added that "the investment is outside the company's traditional activity with the existence of non-distinctive sites serve as alternative plants for factories," pointing to "the response of the Board of Directors to the demands of employees, and later decided to exclude factory premises from the supply of investment."
