The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said on Tuesday that the number of graduates from training courses held by vocational training centers in Baghdad and the provinces reached (16680) trainees during 2018.
The Director General of Labor and Vocational Training Department, Ammar Abdul Wahid, said in a statement that "the cumulative number of graduates from the Department for the period from 16-9-2003 to 31/12-2018 was (229104) trainees by gender by (109862) male trainees and (119242) female trainee. "
"The number of graduates has been distributed according to the categories of job seekers, employees, organizations, displaced persons and borrowers," he said, adding that "the department is also working to exploit the free time of students wishing to enter the courses during the summer vacation to raise their qualifications and skills."
"The department provides training services to various segments of the society, especially job seekers, through developing their skills and abilities to enable them to enter the labor market and find opportunities to suit their potential, as well as training employees and employees in the government and private sectors and develop their competencies.
The Department of Labor and Vocational Training in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is keen to establish training courses and professional job seekers who are registered in the database of the Department according to modern international curricula in the vocational training centers deployed in Baghdad and the provinces.
