    Interior Ministry Inspector-General Jamal al-Asadi said the law allowed the ministry exclusively to grant licenses to carry weapons to people, revealing the issuance of 44 thousand licenses.
    Al-Asadi said in a press statement that "the Arms Law No. 51 of 2017 authorized the Ministry of Interior exclusively to grant leave and carry weapons to people of different classes, classes and jobs."
