For those who haven’t seen this video, it’s from a movie called The Great Dictator. It stars Charlie Chaplin and was released in 1940.
This is one of the early attempts at the Hegelian Dialectic from Hollywood. We have Chaplin playing a similar character to Adolf Hitler, but with a consciousness that belies the symbolism of a dictator as promoted in the real world. The contrast between both images creates a division within the human mind.
When we consider that the same banking interests which fund Hollywood also financed the rise of Nazism, we can only speculate at the intention of the passionate “unite” at the end of the speech.
And this only a few years before the creation of the United Nations at the end of WW2.
Also take notice of the “removal of national borders” and “science and technology” statements. Can you see? – JC
