The Presidency of the Parliament obligates the Finance to implement Article 10 of the budget for the Kurdistan oil

A meeting in the House of Representatives, on Wednesday, was chaired by Vice-President Hassan al-Kaabi and included the Ministers of Finance and Oil Fuad Hussein and Thamer Ghadhban and the head of the Office of Financial Supervision and Integrity Commission Salah Nuri obliging the Ministry of Finance to implement material in the budget related to the share of the Kurdistan region.
"The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Karim al-Kaabi, presided over a wide-ranging meeting of the Finance Committee and the Oil and Energy Committee in the presence of a number of deputies from the parliamentary committees, Finance Minister Fuad Hussein and Oil Minister Thamer And the head of the Office of Financial Supervision and Integrity Agency Salah Nuri, to discuss the oil file of the region and the lack of commitment of the provincial government to implement the provisions of the General Budget 2019.
The office added that "the meeting agreed on the implementation of a number of recommendations, including the obligation of the Ministry of Finance to implement Article 10 of the budget law with regard to the share of the region and the consequent financial obligations to the central government and calculate the rates of damage as a result of non-commitment of the provincial government in coordination with the Finance Committee, To activate and sustain dialogue between the central government and the provincial government to reach understandings and solutions to all problems. "
He continued, "It was agreed to entrust the financial and oil and energy committees of the parliamentary delegations to receive all the official replies from the ministries of oil and finance and the Bureau of financial control and analysis of inputs and answers to this meeting, and submit the report and recommendations for submission to the House of Representatives to take the appropriate decision.
The statement quoted al-Kaabi as saying that "the problem of selling oil of the province and the share of the region in the budget is not new but a topic of constant debate in almost every year, specifically during the budget preparation," noting that "today as a parliament agreed to find a final legal solution to this file with insistence On the implementation of all parties to the provisions of the Iraqi Constitution, which stipulates that the oil wealth and others are the property of all Iraqis and no right of any party to go the other way.
