The gathering of Iraqi intellectuals and academics, on Sunday, the first conference to discuss the latest political developments in the country, while demanding the participation of intellectuals and academics to make political decision-making.
The conference, which was held under the slogan "the demonstrations voice of the people and reference" attended the presence of academic figures, cultural and religious components of various parts of Iraq and a number of holders of higher degrees in the demonstrations.
The conference discussed a number of axes, namely the most appropriate electoral system for Iraq, the problems of constitutional amendments and mechanisms of treatment, and the methodology of reference in political reforms - a legal reading.
The conference highlighted the importance of adhering to the curriculum of the supreme religious authority in Najaf, supervising the fight against corruption and removing the corrupt from the road map to reform the Iraqi situation.
The conference discussed the nature of the challenges facing Iraq and the imperative to address them consciously.
The conference concluded with a set of recommendations, including the adoption of directives of reference as a roadmap for the desired reforms, support for peaceful demonstrations and legitimate demands, and emphasize the responsibility of the government to provide full protection for demonstrators, and enact a fair and just electoral law, and the need to amend the Constitution on the basis of popular will and consideration of a number of constitutional articles Among them is Article 126 of the Constitution, especially after the Federal Court has agreed to review its decision
Activating the role of the judiciary, forming a special court for the corrupt, amending the law of parties to ensure their loyalty to Iraq, reassessing the security leaders, adopting fair controls in government employment away from quotas, rebuilding the infrastructure of the provinces where the cities have witnessed popular demonstrations, and enacting the graft law.
And the adoption of administrative, legal and media committees to take the responsibility of delivering the visions and message of the assembly to the references and the good forces in the country to follow up his recommendations to save Iraq.
