Parliamentary law clarifies the responsibilities of the President of the Republic regarding the retirement law

The Parliamentary Legal Committee clarified on Wednesday, the responsibilities and powers of the President of the Republic on the new unified retirement law, noting that the president can make observations on errors in the law and not changes.
"The law will come into force 15 days after being sent to the presidency even if it is not ratified by the president," said Hussein al-Oqabi, a member of the committee.
Al-Oqabi added, "Parliament's vote on the law gives it legitimacy to implement it, as the President of the Republic can make remarks in case of spelling or grammatical errors in the law and not make amendments to it."
He explained that "the law will be implemented during the first of January next, whether ratified by the President of the Republic or not, because the vote of Parliament will ensure the implementation of the new law." Finished 25 N
