Al-Tamimi said in a press statement: "The constitution did not allow the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, to reassign the resigned or failed candidate."
He added: "The resignation of Prime Minister [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/17227/%D8%B9%D8%A7%D8%AF%D9%84 %D8%B9%D8%A8%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D9%87%D8%AF%D9%8A]Adel Abdel Mahdi[/url] is a failure, and the constitution did not allow the President of the Republic to re-assign him in accordance with paragraphs III, IV and V of Article 76, but to assign another person." He stressed: "All articles of the constitution did not give the President the right to re-assign the candidate He resigned or failed. ”
The legal expert stated:“ The reassignment of the Prime Minister, according to the constitution, takes place after completing his legal and constitutional session for four years, and since the Prime Minister has not completed his session, Barham Saleh has no right to reassign him at all. ”
