    {International: Al Furat News} Oil rose strongly, to increase US crude about three dollars, on Wednesday after the United States said that its forces in Iraq were attacked by Iranian ballistic missiles, which raises the possibility of a regional conflict that may disrupt oil supplies.
    [size=21][rtl]By 0029 GMT, West Texas Intermediate crude futures were nearly $ 3 higher, roughly five percent to $ 65.50 a barrel. Brent crude has not seen trading after falling about one percent on Tuesday.[/rtl]
    [rtl]"We are working on preliminary assessments of the damage caused," US Defense Department spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement, adding that the attack targeted the Ain al-Assad air base and another base in Arbil.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The Iranian Mehr News Agency said that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards targeted al-Qaeda. Tehran has vowed to avenge the killing of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in a US air strike on January 3.[/rtl]
    [rtl]According to Al-Mayadeen TV, sirens were heard and American helicopters were seen flying over the Ein al-Assad base in Anbar Province, Iraq, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.[/rtl]
