The deputy of the Alliance of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Riyad Al-Masoudi stressed that the concept of the largest bloc ended in accordance with the constitution, pointing out: "The constitution needs a lot of amendments to clarify some concepts, especially those related to impeachment and resignation."
Al-Masoudi said in a press statement: "Some political forces consider themselves greater than the constitution, taking advantage of some gaps in it, especially since there is nothing to clarify the concept of resignation, despite the existence of a paragraph related to the dismissal within the constitution."
He added: "Article 76 / First of the constitution, concerned with the largest number of blocs that are under the dome of the House of Representatives working to present a candidate to the President of the Republic in order to assign him to form a government, and therefore the concept of the largest bloc has ended constitutionally, and work is now done in the fourth paragraph of the article 76, whereby the President of the Republic selects whom he deems appropriate to form the ministerial cabinet and in the constitutional frameworks.
And between: "The constitution needs to be amended, especially as it relates to resignation, dismissal and death, and finding legal exits in the event the prime minister fails after he is mandated to obtain the confidence of Parliament."
