An unprecedented flow at a border crossing with Iran in Diyala hours after it closed

On Thursday, a government official in Diyala province revealed an unprecedented flow of Iranian trucks at a border crossing east of the province.
Mazen Akram, director of the Mandali side of the agency (90 km east of Baquba), said, “The Mandali border crossing with Iran was closed for hours before the trade exchange for regulatory and technical measures, then it was reopened a little while ago to the flow of Iranian commercial convoys and began to flow unprecedentedly towards The squares designated for discharging within the Iraqi side.
Akram added, "The flow came after the accumulation of commercial convoys for hours near the crossing before giving the green light to enter it," noting that "the coming days will witness a greater flow with the issuance of official instructions to close the crossing next Sunday in implementation of instructions received from Baghdad."
