Allawi: The next government’s program should include early elections and the trial of protesters ’killers

The leader of the National Coalition, Dr. Iyad Allawi, stressed that the program of the next government should focus on holding early elections and trying the killers of the demonstrators.
He said in a press statement, that the program of the next government should focus on holding early elections and fixing their exact date, in addition to forming a special court by presidential decree to try the killers of the demonstrators.
He called on Allawi to work to release innocent detainees, peaceful demonstrators, and to ensure the treatment of the wounded and the handicapped, or those who have committed crimes or attacks against them in the demonstration arenas.
He stressed the need for the program to include an integrated plan to combat corruption, theft of state funds and hold perpetrators accountable, and assign a committee of distinguished experts to work on preparing treatments to save the economic conditions and start converting the Iraqi economy into a product instead of being rentier.
