    Today, Tuesday, Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanmi stressed the importance of fighting corruption in police stations, adhering to the laws in force and facilitating citizen reviews.  
    Al-Ghanimi said in a video recording of "Nass" (May 12, 2020), during his visit to the Diyala police: "The police stations are the security fronts and they are in contact with the citizens."  
    He added, "We had an existing record in the police stations, when the citizen came to present an invitation that opened for him, entered the case, concluded the case and was granted to him, but now she is held captive by the officer of the center who once blackmailed the citizens with money, once with honor, and once he was not allowed to go to the judge, and another department of acquaintances."  
    The Minister of the Interior emphasized that "corruption applies to nationality and personal status, and that the officers there adopt different methods in order not to pass it, because there is no form, or any other."  
    He pointed out that "the police station, where corruption is rampant, has lost the administrative bow and the responsibility given to it," noting that "corruption is no less influential than terrorism."  
    Al-Ghanimi continued, "Our goal is to restore the prestige of the police by gaining the citizen's trust in the police, applying the law and avoiding the pleasures of the world, and then working to win the affiliation of the associate through achieving justice between all."
