Tamimi explained, in a press statement, that "the formation of this committee conforms to Article 78, which granted broad powers to the Prime Minister, as well as Article 2 of the Cabinet Internal Regulations No. 2 of 2019, as well as the State Employees Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991."
He added, "This committee can refer investigative files to the judiciary or the public prosecution," adding that "the cabinet can coordinate with the Judicial Council in establishing a specialized court for investigation and trial, as well as clarifying the source of information and receiving and allowing files."
Al-Tamimi stressed that "the files that this committee will consider need confidentiality and coordination with the public prosecution to demand the return of the fugitives and the smuggled money in accordance with the International Interpol agreement, and coordination with the American side in accordance with Article 27 of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement." / End 5[/rtl]
