    Alsumaria News / Baghdad

Member of Parliament, Ahmad al-Jubouri, confirmed today, Thursday, that the main point of contention in the Federal Court Law is the insertion of religion into a court that examines political decisions, while indicating that the safest option at this stage is to amend the enforceable Law No. 30 of 2005 and that A two-year interim court will be formed.

Al-Jubouri said in an interview with Alsumaria News, "Any procedure we work with should be consistent with what the street and the people want, which demanded early elections, and the reference indicated that important matters such as amending the constitution and important laws should be carried over to the next session," indicating that "an achievement." The law of the Federal Court in light of unstable conditions and the lack of complete harmony between many of the blocs in addition to the existence of the General Budget Law makes us feel the importance of not rushing to legislate a law for a federal court that politicizes partisan and sectarian, given that the parties will nominate legal scholars and experts of Islamic jurisprudence.

Al-Jubouri added, "The main problem is not in the essence of the Federal Court’s law, but the real problems lie in the constitution. Therefore, if the blocs want to build a state, they must amend the differences in the constitution and end the intersections in it and many of the foundations that have established quotas and sharing in all state institutions." Pointing out that "the qualities found in jurisprudence experts or legal jurists are all present in judges, and the legislator should clarify the paragraph related to experts and jurists by making it that the judge must have experience in Islamic jurisprudence and the law and the problem ends and the nominating body is the Supreme Judicial Council being an independent body." And we move away from party nominations. "

He stressed that "the main contentious point in the law is the insertion of religion into a court that examines political decisions, as clerics and authorities are responsible for the religious matters that they give to people. As for whether we come and enter the Federal Court with the presence of clerics, this is not correct, because the dispute will be present before That they be chosen accordingly, returning to judges is an important matter, and we have experience in selecting candidates for the Federal Court of Cassation, which is no less important than the Federal Court, and its judges were nominated by the Judicial Council without any problems, stressing that "the safest option at this stage is to amend the law in force No. 30 of 2005 and to work on forming a temporary court for two years because the current circumstances are not qualified to prepare a crucial and very important law, such as the Federal Court Law.
