[ltr]Shafaq News / On Thursday, the Iraqi Central Bank's hard currency sales increased by 107 percent, to reach 68 million dollars.[/ltr]
The correspondent of Shafaq News Agency stated that the Central Bank of Iraq witnessed during its auction for the sale and purchase of foreign currencies today a rise in sales by 107.5 percent to reach 68 million 117 thousand 600 dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to Wednesday, when it reached Sales of 32 million and 827 thousand dollars.
The purchases amounting to 68 million 117 thousand and 600 dollars went to strengthen the funds abroad in the form of transfers and credits, while the banks did not purchase any dollars in cash.
Our correspondent indicated that 15 banks have fulfilled the requests to enhance the assets abroad.
