(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Commission for Human Rights called today, Saturday, the government to declare a state of emergency.

A member of the Commission, Fadel Al-Gharawi, said in a statement that Al-Furat News received a copy of, that "the high prices of foodstuffs in the market will increase the poverty line in Iraq."
He called on the government to "immediately intervene by declaring a state of humanitarian emergency to support the ration card items for the citizen."
For her part, Representative Alia Nassif called on the government to protect the citizen from the effects of raising the price of the dollar, indicating that this came after the price of foodstuffs doubled.
