Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced that it controls the borders and the entry of goods, while indicating that it will set the price of eggs and poultry .
Agriculture Minister Muhammad Karim al-Khafaji said during the first conference (Planting in Iraq, Made in Iraq), which was held today by the House of Representatives under the auspices of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi, and attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We appreciate the support of the Agriculture Committee and the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament. To the agricultural sector, "pointing out that" the ministry fought corruption and was able to issue bold decisions to protect the local product. "
He stressed, "We controlled the borders and the entry of goods with the support of the prime minister and the head of the border crossings," explaining that "the most important decision is to set a price for wheat, barley and rice."
He continued, "This conference is a victory for the agricultural sector and peasants," noting that "the entry of chickens and their sectors leads to a threat to livestock.
"We will price the eggs and chickens to control the market," Al-Khafaji said, noting that "consumer protection is a central goal because the poor have been greatly affected by the high exchange rate."
