Parliamentary State of Law coalition bloc considered, on Monday (June 28, 2021), the American bombing that targeted sites on the border with Syria at dawn today and killed 4 members of the Popular Mobilization as "an absolutely unjustified act of aggression and a provocation to the Iraqi people."

In a statement received by IQ News, the bloc condemned the "American bombing of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Al-Qaim area, which killed a number of the 14th Brigade's heroic fighters who are keen to secure the borders from the infiltration of terrorists and their entry into Iraq to carry out their criminal acts on its lands."

She said, "The act is an act of aggression that is not justified at all. It is a provocation to the Iraqi people and a targeting of its security forces, which the United States of America says are present in order to provide support and backing for it in its fight against terrorism."

The State of Law bloc called on the Iraqi government to "take immediate measures to hold accountable those who carried out this criminal act and prevent its recurrence," also calling on "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take action to put an end to this recklessness and repeated targeting of the popular crowd."
