    The Sadrist movement announced, on Tuesday, that it will ally with the major political forces after the end of the period for submitting appeals, to proceed with the formation of the new government.
    Member of the movement, Issam Hussein, said in a statement  today, (12 October 2021), that "the Shiite forces' loss in the elections was due to their rhetoric that went abroad."
    Hussein added, "The commission quickly announced the results in order to cut off foreign interference, and that the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, referred to this issue explicitly in one of his tweets."
    Hussein stressed, "The current feels great satisfaction after obtaining 74 seats in the next parliament," noting by saying that "we are very satisfied with the work of the commission, and we have no objection to its work. on the work of the Commission.
    He continued, "The ruler of Al-Zamili and Hassan Al-Kaabi swept the parliamentary race in Baghdad, and our closest competitor in parliamentary seats is the Progress Alliance led by Muhammad Al-Halbousi."
    He continued, "We are close to the major political forces that swept Parliament, and after the appeals end, we will move towards forming alliances with them in order to facilitate and speed up the formation of the government."
    Today, Tuesday, the Independent High Electoral Commission announced the opening of appeals against the election results, while noting that a decision on the submitted appeal will be within a period not exceeding 10 days.
