[size=45]The Sulaymaniyah Provincial Council revealed, on Wednesday, that the agents of foodstuffs and flour in the governorates of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja and the Garmian and Rabrin administrations have collected additional sums from citizens.[/size]
[size=45]Castro Maarouf, a member of the Sulaymaniyah Provincial Council, said, "Additional amounts are collected through food and flour agents, amounting to one billion dinars per month from the citizens of Sulaymaniyah, Halabja, and the Garmian and Raparin administrations, whose number reaches nearly two million and two hundred thousand citizens."[/size]
[size=45]Maarouf added, "The amount decided by the Ministry of Commerce is (500) dinars for each family, but what is required of them is (850) dinars for each family per month."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that "the provincial council has informed the governor of Sulaymaniyah, the governor of Halabja, the supervisors of the Garmian and Rabrin administrations, in addition to the public prosecution, but no action has been taken so far."[/size]
[size=45]Regarding the quality of foodstuffs and flour distributed to citizens, Maarf explained that “special committees from the provincial council supervise monthly the quality of these materials by examining them by the relevant committees.”[/size]
[size=45]Maarouf called on the citizens to “not receive any food that is not fit for consumption and inform the provincial council in this regard.[/size]
