{Local: Al Furat News} The General Authority for Customs announced, on Wednesday, an increase in its revenue to 15% from the year 2020.
And the authority stated in a statement that {Euphrates News} received a copy of it, that “the General Authority for Customs announced an increase in its revenues achieved for the year 2021 by 15% over the year 2020, reaching for this year 2021 (1001413859817) trillion and one billion four hundred and thirteen million eight hundred and fifty-nine thousand eight hundred and seven Ten dinars, while the revenue of 2020 was (863161392512) eight hundred and sixty-three billion and one hundred and sixty-one million three hundred and ninety-two thousand five hundred and twelve dinars.
And she continued, "The directives of the Director General, Shaker Mahmoud Al-Zubaidi, after assuming the position, had a significant impact on the increase in revenues in most of its customs centers, as it recorded a qualitative leap for the year 2021, with an increase of 15% over the year 2020, despite the short period during which the Director General assumed the presidency of the authority."
And she added, "After the appointment of its general manager, all differences in customs duties on companies were reviewed, the large part of which was met, as well as confirmation and continuous follow-up on the safety of conducting accurate inspection of the consignments incoming to the country, which led to achieving high revenues."
And she stressed, "it is continuing to redouble efforts to raise revenues to double the amounts achieved through the plan prepared to supplement the state treasury with financial resources."
