    Mardan said in a statement that "the poverty rate in the province exceeded 20%, and poverty rates in Iraq are witnessing a continuous rise."
    He added that "poverty and unemployment in the province exceeded 20%," noting that "the government's decisions to raise the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar are what led the Iraqi people to poverty."
