On Sunday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs confirmed that it is not possible to lay off any worker in the private sector without obtaining its approval.
Ministry spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, told the official agency and followed it by "Nas" (February 13, 2022), that "the labor law in the private sector, no worker can be dismissed unless the approval of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs is obtained."
He added, "The ministry has allocated lines for complaints and the hotline is open, to file any complaint, as any worker who has been forcibly laid off can contact these lines, and measures will be taken against the project owner."
