    Mayor of Baghdad, Architect Alaa Maan, announced today, Friday, the imminent announcement of the development of the 611 and 613 localities in the Al-Daoudi area as part of the Great Cladding campaign within the framework of the Baghdad Renaissance project, stressing that work is underway in 78 projects in the city of Baghdad.
    This came during a field tour for him to see the work of developing and covering the 609 locality in Al-Mansour area, and his meeting with a number of the people of the area.
    A statement of the secretariat quoted the mayor of Baghdad as saying that “within the major covering campaign within the framework of the Renaissance Baghdad project, we are working to develop the 609 locality in the Mansour area, which includes scraping works of 100,000 square meters, of which 40% is completed, and breaking a mold and removing rubble with a length of 30 thousand meters is completed, 50% of which is completed.” And pouring a mold with a length of 30 thousand meters, 50% of which was completed, and covered with a modified layer of asphalt thickness of 5 cm with an area of ​​100 thousand square meters, of which 20% was completed, and covered with a superficial layer of asphalt, which was completed, as 18 alleys were completed out of 41 alleys in Mahalla.”
    He added, "The mayor of Baghdad confirmed the imminent announcement of the development of the 611 and 613 localities in the Al-Daoudi area, calling on the honorable citizens to cooperate with the staff of the Baghdad Municipality in preserving the aesthetics of their areas and removing all distortions, as well as organizing the wires of the power lines for generators."
    The Mayor of Baghdad stressed the municipal departments the necessity of following up on violations and not allowing damage to roads after the completion of their coverings, and the implementation of strict penalties against negligent employees in the event that legal measures are not taken against violators to limit this phenomenon.
    He pointed out that "the Baghdad Municipality is continuing to implement (78) projects on both sides of Karkh and Rusafa of the capital in several areas, including development and cladding of residential shops, main streets and alleys."
    And he indicated that "the staff of the Projects Department has begun to maintain, rehabilitate and coat the approaches to the Jumhuriya Bridge as part of a campaign that includes the approaches to the bridges (the Republic, the Sink and the Commentator), calling on citizens to cooperate with the staff of the Baghdad Municipality to achieve better services that advance the reality of the beloved capital, Baghdad."
