Anbar Governor's Advisor for Energy Affairs, Aziz Khalaf Tarmouz, announced, on Monday, the influx of the first shipment of Basra crude to Haditha district, after an 18-year hiatus.
Al-Tarmuz said in a statement to the "Information" agency, that "the Ministry of Oil, in coordination with the local Anbar government, has completely rehabilitated the oil pipeline transporting from the Basra fields to the Haditha district refinery, west of Anbar."
He added, "The Haditha Oil Refinery received the first shipments of crude oil from the fields of Basra Governorate, after stopping work for more than 18 years."
He considered, "Repumping crude oil to the Haditha refinery is one of the most important giant projects approved by the Ministry of Oil and worked to implement," stressing that pumping oil to the Haditha refinery will contribute to eliminating the scarcity of oil derivatives in Anbar. finished/
