    [rtl]Baghdad / Al-Mawrid News[/rtl]

[rtl]The Ministry of Electricity revealed the most prominent things that the Parliamentary Finance Committee discussed with the person in charge of managing the ministry, Adel Karim, during its hosting today, and while it promised the citizens more processing hours next summer than last summer, it confirmed that the emergency support law being discussed by Parliament included the dues of the supplied gas and solving the problem of delay in payment. .[/rtl]
[rtl]A spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, Ahmed Moussa, told Al-Iraqiya News and followed him, "The Ministry of Electricity has set the House of Representatives and the Parliamentary Finance Committee in the form of the challenges that the production sector is going through in Iraq, and we reviewed all plans, whether emergency or strategic ."[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The emergency support bill currently being discussed by the House of Representatives includes allocations in favor of providing the previous and subsequent gas dues in order to solve the problem of late payment, and this matter is very important because the need continues for it and without gas, the challenges expected to be experienced by the system in the summer cannot be faced ."[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that "the Ministry of Electricity needs additional funds in favor of completing maintenance and purchasing equipment and spare parts for the distribution networks," noting that "the current amounts are spent according to the 1/12 budget in the absence of a budget, and this is not enough. We suggested to the Council of Ministers to grant electricity in advance to (6) months ".[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the electricity intends to work on the combined cycle program as an alternative to gas, which is environmentally friendly and depends on the heat of the generating units, and it does not cost the state sums and gives additional impetus to production stations ."[/rtl]
[rtl]He stressed that "the ministry is working to support electricity with cooling systems because the national system is less efficient in hot weather, and we promise citizens much better processing hours than last summer in light of the preparations we have completed ."[/rtl]
[rtl]He pointed out that "the preparations included the addition of 4,500 megawatts to the national system, and that transmission lines linking the governorates entered service, in which there is a great support for the distribution sector, and the installation of mobile stations, releasing bottlenecks and creating feeders ."[/rtl]
[rtl]He continued, "We were hoping for additional financial allocations to fully control the situation, and the challenges of the summer have been met well and we need financial support and a stable fuel plan ."[/rtl]
