The representative of the independent bloc, Hussein Al-Sabri, confirmed, on Saturday, that they have not taken a position so far regarding the political initiative put forward by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr, indicating that a meeting in this regard is imminent.
Al-Sabri said in an interview seen by "The Information", that "the ball has been placed in the court of the independents, and the independent deputies are required to adopt a consistent national position and to be up to the responsibility."
He added that "the demand of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, the independents, for a patriotic and serious stance towards the political process, which resulted in a lot of opinions from the independents, followed by a meeting for them to unite ranks to come up with a unified position, work on this issue with real steps and come up with guarantees towards the real goal to get out of the political blockage crisis." Al-Sabri indicated that "during the next few days, a unified position of the independents will emerge towards the initiative presented by al-Sadr, and so far we have not taken a position on it." finished/25
