    Information / Baghdad…
Legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi confirmed that Turkey has violated international conventions by attacking Iraq under the pretext of fighting PKK elements, pointing out that Baghdad has the right to sue Ankara and condemn it internationally.

. Al-Tamimi told “Al-Maalouma” that “Turkey has violated international law by striking Iraq, and this matter violates Articles 1, 2 and 3 of the Charter of the United Nations, which obliges all countries to respect the sovereignty of countries.” .
He added that "Turkey is not allowed to invoke the agreement with the previous regime, because this agreement was not renewed after 2003 and a copy of it was not deposited at the United Nations in accordance with Article 102 of the UN Charter."
And he indicated that "Iraq can file a complaint against Turkey, according to what we mentioned, and Turkey cannot invoke Article 51 of the UN Charter, which gives it the right to legitimate defense, because that is under conditions, the first of which is to inform the Security Council first-hand."
He pointed out that "Turkey is obliged to solve the problem with the PKK and Ocalan's leader away from the land of Iraq, as the repetition of these strikes is an insult to international law and the Charter of the United Nations." finished 25
