At the Faili Kurds Conference held in December 2005, Mr. Masoud Barzani promised the Faili Kurds that he would open all closed doors in their faces and hand them the keys to the doors. It is unfortunate to say that Mr. Masoud Barzani did not keep his promise.
It is worth noting that the position of candidate for the President of the Republic at the time of the late Kurdish leader Mustafa Barzani, the late Habib Muhammad Karim, the Gaelic Kurdish figure, was nominated for the position of President of the Republic within the March Agreement and with the insistence of Leader Barzani, but the March Agreement did not materialize and was replaced by the notorious Algiers Agreement.
The important thing now, after this historical introduction, is that Mr. Masoud Barzani did not contact the Kurdish candidate, Professor Dr. Kamal Aziz Qaitouli did not discuss with him or listen to him for consultations, despite his nomination for the presidency of the republic twice. This negatively affects the position of the Kurdish leadership towards the Faili Kurds and the issue of supporting them and removing injustice from them.
Professor Kamal is an independent international academic personality and has a well-known political and historical entity. He, his family and his Gaelic component provided caravans of martyrs.
[size=45]We hope that Mr. Masoud Barzani, his advisors and all Kurdish leaders will reconsider their positions on the issue of the Faili Kurds and the nomination for the presidency of the republic, and we hope the support of the independent academic Professor Dr. Kamal Qaitouli as a compromise candidate on which all parties agree to reach a moderate and acceptable solution to end the stalemate and political impasse.[/size]
