Kurdistan Democratic Party: There are no red lines on the position of the President of the Republic
Shafaq News/ The leading member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Bassam Ali, said on Sunday that his party has no red lines on any candidate for the post of President of the Republic of Iraq.
The official of the 12th branch of the Democratic Party in Halabja, Bassam Ali, said in a press statement today, "There are understandings with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and things are heading towards detente."
He stressed that "the position of the Presidency of the Iraqi Republic is an electoral entitlement for the people of Kurdistan, and it is not owned by any party or political force."
Ali also pointed out that the understandings between the two parties "cannot be called an agreement."
