    Today, Thursday, the Border Ports Authority announced the evacuation of more than 3000 dangerous containers from the sea ports, confirming the evacuation of all dangerous or double-dealing containers at the sea ports in Basra.

    The official spokesman for the ports, and a member of the government media cell, Alaa Al-Din Al-Qaisi, said, "Since Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waeli assumed the position of the authority's duties, he ordered the necessity of evacuating all dangerous or double-dealing containers in our sea ports in Basra, where a complete and comprehensive study was conducted on this subject for the purpose of Evacuate them and move them to designated places away from the southern ports.”

    He added, "In light of the issuance of Diwani Order No. 18 of 2020, the Border Ports Authority began cooperating with the operating departments, the Prime Minister's Office and the Joint Operations Command, and after obtaining the fundamental approvals of the Basra investigation judge, it proceeded to evacuate all dangerous containers."

    He pointed out, "The number of containers that were evacuated amounted to more than 3000 containers, and they were transported under strict customs guards to designated places."
