    Before its scheduled date at the end of 2024, the completion of the Faw Grand Port project will be completed, according to the Ministry of Transport, after completing the first phase of the work, represented by the completion of the concrete wall of the berths in the port and the preparation of the 157 pillars, in addition to the start of work in the container yard in order to fully prepare it.[/size]
    [size=45]After this stage, the Iraqi ports are preparing for the second stage, which is its operation, after communicating with international ports and companies to view their maritime experiences and exchange economic visions.[/size]
    [size=45]Farhan Al-Fartousi, Director of Iraqi Ports, said, "The General Company for Iraqi Ports seeks to communicate with international ports and companies to exchange visions and learn about international experiences. In addition, the completion stages of the large Al-Faw port project require preparation for the second stage, which is its operation."[/size]
    [size=45]The great port of Faw, if completed, will make Iraq the main station on the international land and sea trade route between the continents of Asia and Europe.[/size]
    [size=45]Experts believe that the project will be the link between the Arab Gulf countries consuming foreign goods and the European countries consuming oil, led by Turkey, and exporting those goods through Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]The cost of the project is more than four and a half billion euros, with an estimated capacity of 99 million tons annually, to be one of the largest ports overlooking the Gulf and the tenth in the world.[/size]
