    Today, Saturday, the representative of the State of Law, Aref Al-Hamami, revealed political and commercial moves to reduce the exchange rates of the dollar, while addressing the government to end the suffering of Iraqis regarding the dollar.
    Al-Hamami told (Baghdad Today) that "all the signatures of 100 deputies from the State of Law coalition and some other blocs have been signed, in order to put pressure on the government regarding reducing the exchange rates of the dollar."
    He added, "The state can proceed with a gradual reduction in the exchange rates of the dollar," noting that "the coalition called on the government to end the suffering of citizens regarding the rise in dollar prices, and it will fight to reduce it."
    Al-Hamami pointed out that "political parties and businessmen are standing in the way of lowering prices because it is closely related to their business."
    In the past weeks, the Central Bank of Iraq had excluded 4 private Iraqi banks from the currency sale auction (namely: Al-Ansari, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Al-Qabid, and Asia) following directives and warnings from the US Treasury about these banks accused of smuggling currency.
     For its part, the Central Bank of Iraq justified a few days ago the reasons for the decrease in the volume of sales of the foreign currency selling window by the bank’s shift to establishing a new electronic platform for selling dollars and foreign remittances, considering that some banks are not ready enough to enter into the automation that launched its experimental work.
    And yesterday, Friday, the London-based “The Arab Weekly” network revealed that the United States is heading towards forcing Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani to “choose between the American camp or the Iranian camp” by putting pressure on his government after depriving it of obtaining dollars as a result of its leakage to Iran. 
     The network stated, according to the report translated by (Baghdad Today), that "the United States is determined to prevent the dollar from reaching Iran through Iraq," noting that "the US Federal Reserve's decision to allow Iraq to access the dollar is only a preliminary measure." 
     And the network expected, according to statements it made to former member of the Finance Committee, Ahmed Haj Rashid, that “the United States will take more steps to prevent the flow of dollars towards Iran and impose more pressure on al-Sudani and his government,” explaining that “in the coming period, the United States may intervene to prevent Iraq from importing gas and energy from Iran, which in turn will lead to a further weakening of the dinar," she described.
     The network indicated, quoting Iraqi politicians, that "the need for Al-Sudani to make his decision" regarding continuing to "support Iran" with the increasing pressure exerted by the United States on him to stop all dealings with Tehran, according to which it obtains the US dollar.

    The State of Law parliamentary bloc described the rise in the dollar exchange rate as a “fabricated crisis,” stressing that the US Treasury’s decision carries a political aspect against the Sudanese government.
    “The recent US Treasury measures to restrict the movement of foreign remittances with Iraq at this time carries political signals and aspects directed against the young Sudanese government, which is no more than three months old,” the bloc’s spokesman, Representative Bahaa al-Nouri, said in a press interview seen by Taqaddam. Its purpose is to negatively affect the Iraqi street and the performance of the government in front of the people through the economic file, by creating crises and problems to obstruct the implementation of the government program by reducing the currency pumping into the local market by 70 million dollars, after it was no less than 200 million dollars per day. ''.
    He added that “reducing the rate of currency sale from the Central Bank of Iraq by two-thirds from the natural need, represents signs of an economic crisis, both at the government and private sector levels, affecting the life and sustenance of the citizen,” noting that “the government took quick steps during which it was able to control the price hike.” in the market and ending the state of confusion, but it is temporary and requires other radical solutions.”
    Al-Nouri called on "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee, and government decision-makers to find real understandings with the American side to end any unilateral action that harms Iraq's interest, especially by respecting sovereignty and balance in relations between the two parties in accordance with common interests.
