Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce confirmed that there is sufficient stock of foodstuffs for the coming months, while indicating that it is working to implement the Cabinet’s decision to increase its items for those covered by social care and those with limited income.
The media center of the ministry said, "The Ministry of Commerce, through its duties in securing the items of the food basket for citizens, has prepared foodstuffs for the past year with eleven meals (a food basket), which contributed to creating a balance in the local market and controlling prices."
He added, "The General Company for Foodstuff Trade launched the first processing of foodstuffs prescribed within the ration card for this year, after it completed its administrative and technical procedures in this aspect."

He pointed out, "The ministry is working to implement the Cabinet's decision that includes improving and increasing the items of the food basket for those covered by the Social Welfare Law and those with limited income, by taking the necessary measures to supply these items during the coming period for those who deserve it."
And he concluded by saying: "The foregoing indicates that the market is stable in the long term, with the smooth arrival of foodstuffs to the citizen at the specified times."
