    The deputy head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Skfan Youssef, announced that the percentage of Kurds in the Iraqi army is less than 2%, while the percentage of Kurdish officers is less than that, noting that this percentage is 1% in the security services.[/size]
    [size=45]On Wednesday (January 11, 2023), the deputy head of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, Skfan Youssef, said that “the percentage of Kurds in the Iraqi army is very small,” stressing the need to “work towards rebalancing by increasing the percentage of Kurds in particular, especially since The percentage of Kurdish officers in the Iraqi army is less than that.”[/size]
    [size=45]Regarding the percentage of Kurds in the Iraqi intelligence and security services, Skafan Youssef explained that “the percentage of Kurds in the other intelligence and security agencies is 1%.”[/size]
    [size=45]He noted the need to work to raise the percentage of Kurds in the Iraqi army to 14% to fit the percentage of the population of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq, which is 14%.[/size]
