    Baghdad / Obelisk: Today, Friday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani revealed the details of his visit to Germany, referring to the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Siemens to increase energy production, while German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the agreement on a work program for cooperation between Baghdad and Berlin.
    Al-Sudani said, in a joint press conference with Schultz, that he "held a series of meetings and encounters since yesterday, all of which establish a strategic relationship with Germany, pointing out that the latter provided military support to Iraq in its war against the terrorist ISIS and provided development support."
    Al-Sudani added, "The government program has set priorities, including combating corruption and providing job opportunities."
    He pointed out that he discussed in Germany offering associated gas investment opportunities, adding, “We have a successful experience with Siemens and we have made clear our desire for other investment companies to enter Iraq,” noting that “granting visas to companies came in order to overcome obstacles to their entry into Iraq,” stressing that “The government is in constant review to provide an attractive environment for investment companies.”
    Al-Sudani called on the companies, including the German ones, to “invest in the field of associated and natural gas,” adding, “We have many strategic projects, including the establishment of Al-Faw port, which is the largest in Iraq.”
    He pointed out that "the agreement with Siemens aims to improve the transmission and distribution processes and increase energy production."
    Al-Sudani appreciated "German military support for Iraq, stressing that our Iraqi security services are capable of defeating terrorism," pointing out that "Iraq does not need combat forces from the international coalition."
    For his part, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz referred to "the agreement on a work program with Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani," noting that "there is a long-term partnership between Siemens and the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity."
    Schulz added, "Iraq is one of the countries affected by climate change," stressing the need to "increase reliance on renewable energy."
    He added, “We hope that Iraq will be a partner for Germany by exporting oil.
